LEADER+ Grants

Grant aid is available under the Somerset Levels & Moors LEADER+ programme. In this section you can download both an application form and a guidance note to help you apply. For a more human approach please feel free to get in touch and we will be happy to discuss any queries you have.

In general you can apply for up to 50% of total project costs from us; there are exceptions to this however (e.g. in supporting agricultural or business projects) where the rate may be lower.

Types of activity that may be supported include: -

• Promotion and publicity
• Training and seminars
• Festivals and exhibitions
• Labour costs and consultancy
• Setting up new networks / co-ops
• Feasibility studies and local research Equipment
• Equipment

LEADER+ grants cannot be used for: -

• Current activities (all projects should be new)
• Putting the competition 'out of business'
• Meeting statutory or legislative requirements
• Large capital projects (e.g. renovating a church or village hall)
